ICAP, the world’s leading interdealer broker, announced today that average daily electronic broking volumes on the BrokerTec and EBS platforms in the month of September reached US$856.7bn, an increase of 14% year-on-year.
Average daily spot FX volumes on the EBS platform in September were $183.1bn, an increase of 25% over the previous year.
Average daily volumes in fixed income products on the BrokerTec platform in September were $673.5bn, an increase of 11% over the previous year. Overall repo volumes reached $547.1bn in September, an increase of 18% year-on-year. Average daily US Treasury volumes on BrokerTec decreased 12% year-on-year in September.
ICAP reports all of its electronic broking volumes on a single count basis.
