Toronto Stock Exchange To Host ETF Series For Advisors - Co-Sponsored By Exchange Traded Fund Providers

Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) today announced it will launch a series of exchange traded fund (ETF) lunch and learn presentations for investment advisors, co-sponsored by ETF providers.

The eight-part series, which begins today in the TMX Gallery, will feature expert panellists sharing their insights and discussing relevant industry topics and trends. Today's presentation, co-sponsored by Horizons Exchange Traded Funds, will focus on income-generating strategies for investors.

There has been significant growth in ETFs on TSX. As at December 31, 2007, there were 47 ETFs with $19 billion in quoted market value (QMV). As at August 31, 2011, there were 215 ETFs with over $49 billion in QMV.
