Toronto Stock Exchange Declares TIPS 35 and TIPS 100 Distributions
Date 29/02/2000
The Toronto Stock Exchange has declared final distributions for both Toronto 35 and TSE 100 Index Participation Units for the period ending March 6, 2000. The distribution for holders of TIPS 35 as at March 3, 2000 is estimated to be $0.13974 per Participation Unit and will be payable March 6, 2000. The distribution for holders of TIPS 100 as at March 3, 2000 is estimated to be $0.13353 per Participation Unit and will be payable March 6, 2000.
Both TIPS 35 and TIPS 100 will trade ex-distribution on March 1, 2000. Capital gains distributions, if any, to unitholders of record will be determined and announced in additional press releases. Capital gains distributions will be paid in the form of additional units. Immediately following the distribution of the capital gains, the number of TIPS units will be consolidated so that the number of units held by investors will be the same as before the capital gain distribution.
These distributions are pursuant to the recently obtained unitholder approval to merge the existing TIPS 35 and TIPS 100 units with the iUnits S&P/TSE 60 Index Participation Fund.
