Tokyo Stock Price Index License

TOPIX (Tokyo Stock Price Index) is an intellectual property that belongs to the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE). All the rights to calculate, publicize, disseminate, and use the index value are reserved by the TSE.

Thus, the license is required to use TOPIX for sale or issuing index-linked funds or bonds or other financial products including derivatives such as options, swaps, warrants on the OTC market.

The license is also required to use TOPIX for disseminating, providing, showing and etc. to the third party in the way as TSE decides.

In case TOPIX is used for your own use as an indicator of the Tokyo stock market or a benchmark to track portfolio performance, license is not required.
