Highlights
(1) Equity Market
- [Equities] Trading value rose for the first time in 4 months, even though TOPIX has continued its second consecutive month of decline.
- [ETF] The decision of the 2016 Olympics contributed to trading value in NEXT FUNDS Ibovespa Linked ETF (1325) jumping to 24x that of the previous month, a 26x increase on a year-to-year basis.
(2) Derivative Market
- [Options] The new options trading system "TDex+" was launched on 10/5. Options on JGB Futures saw a 2.6x increase on a year-to-year basis.
- [Index Futures] Monthly trading volume for mini-TOPIX futures reached 144,158 units, the third highest amount since the start of the market. Daily trading volume reached its highest value this year at 15,398 units (10/27).
