Tokyo Stock Exchange To Host Overseas Seminar In London, U.K. "Transformation Of Japan's Capital Market - One Year Following TSE's Demutualisation"

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (hereafter, 'TSE') will host a seminar in London, U.K. this coming Thursday 5th September entitled 'Transformation of Japan's Capital Market - One Year following TSE's demutualisation'. Attending from the TSE and speaking will be Mr. Masaaki Tsuchida, President and CEO and Mr. Yasuo Kuramoto, Member of the Board (also Vice Chairman, Fidelity Investments Japan Ltd.). We anticipate a seminar attendance of approximately 150 people, including British institutional investors, fund managers and brokers dealing with Japanese stocks.

The idea for this seminar originates from the recent growth of foreign investment in Japanese stocks. By holding it in London, focal point for institutional investors and global investment departments of the major financial institutions, TSE aims to deepen understanding of the Tokyo market among European investors. Mr. Tsuchida will explain in person the present condition of the TSE, its management strategy and its plan to list its own shares in 2005. We hope this occasion will act as a foundation on which we can build our global investor relations activities in the future.

Until present, TSE has held an overseas seminar in Korea (Seoul) to invite companies to list on its market, but this London seminar will be the very first occasion where TSE's top management will explain in their own words about the present state of the TSE as a stock company, and its blueprint for the future.
