Tokyo Stock Exchange: Mothers (Market For Venture Companies) Embraces Foreign Companies

Criteria for foreign companies wishing to list on Mothers came into effect as of November 1, 2000.

Since its inception, Mothers (market for venture companies) has attracted interest from foreign companies, and now one year on these companies will be eligible to apply for listing. TSE expects that this move will allow foreign venture companies to raise capital and their corporate profile in Japan, whilst allowing Japanese investors access to a wider range of investment opportunities.
