Tokyo Stock Exchange: Decision To Start Considering The Migration Of Futures Trading To Tdex+

Date 27/04/2010

We hereby inform you of the TSE board decision to start considering the migration of futures trading to the Tdex+ system (LIFFE CONNECT®).
Henceforth, the TSE will proceed with preparations for activation in the middle of 2011 while considering opinions from market participants.

LIFFE CONNECT® is the advanced electronic trading system used by NYSE Liffe, one of the largest European derivatives exchanges, as well as the Tdex+ system (options market) at the TSE, and is highly rated for its performance and functionality by investors worldwide.

The migration to a new trading platform will bring about a dramatic improvement in processing capability and capacity. This is expected to significantly increase the convenience of the TSE futures market. In addition, the TSE will introduce a Market Maker scheme for the futures market to further increase liquidity in the market.
