Tokyo Stock Exchange: Calculation Of TOPIX In Relation To Shares Of Mitsui Mining Company, Limited

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) made an announcement today regarding calculation of TOPIX and its sub-indices concerning the shares of Mitsui Mining Company, Limited (SICC code: 3315) to be listed on the TSE 1st Section. Details are as follows.

March 10, 2004	After the close of trading on March 10, 2004	While total number of listed shares will be 159,082,976, the number of shares for calculating indices upon inclusion after close of trading on March 10, 2004 shall be 76,083,248, which corresponds to the number of shares to be allocated to shareholders of Mitsui Mining Company, Limited (SICC code: 1501). The remaining 355,100 shares shall be added after close of trading on April 12, 2004 and 82,644,628 shares to be held by the Industrial Revitalization Corporation of Japan shall not be included for indices until TSE announces otherwise.
