ETF Listing Systems Revision
TSE announced revisions to its ETF listing systems in last month's board report. Although within the period of public comment a few comments were received, there will be no changes made to the proposed revisions and they will be carried out as planned. The effective date for these revisions is July 1, 2003.
Revisions to the Calculation Method of Settlement Prices for Futures Trading
In last December's board report, TSE announced revision it planned on making to the calculation method of settlement prices for futures trading. Now that TSE's systems have been properly prepared to handle this change, TSE plans to place the revisions in effect on September 16, 2003.
Hosting of Financial Seminars
The Individual Investor Education Policy Committee, composed of not only those in the securities industry but banking and other industries as well, held two meetings in June. Actively holding securities investment seminars and conferences was a topic of these meetings, and it is TSE's own policy to continue its efforts to provide effective educational seminars to help increase the number of individual investors in the market. This summer TSE will hold, by itself and in conjunction with others, 12 seminars that target everyone from novice investors to professional financial planners. TSE hopes these seminars increase interest in securities and deepen the public's knowledge of the securities markets.
