Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (hereafter “TSE”) has been authorized as a provider of automated trading services (hereafter “ATS”) by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (hereafter “SFC”) in accordance with the Securities and Futures Ordinance of Hong Kong.
TSE has introduced the Remote Trading Participant System to enable Hong Kong-based broker dealers, which do not have offices in Japan, to directly participate in the TSE market as trading participants. With this authorization, broker dealers in Hong Kong which are licensed by the SFC and permitted under the relevant provisions of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act of Japan will be able to participate in the TSE market as trading participants upon obtaining the necessary trading qualifications.
TSE is the first financial instruments exchange in Japan to obtain authorization as an ATS provider from the SFC.
