Tokyo Stock Exchange Announces Reduction of TOPIX Futures And Options Trading And Clearing Fees

Trading and clearing fees for TOPIX futures and options have been halved to further improve the convenience of the TSE derivatives market. This revision was implemented on 17 May and is effective for transactions from 1 May onwards.

The new fees are as follows: Stock index price futures: 0.0004% x trading value (including final settlement) (previously: 0.0008%); Stock index price options: 0.002% x premium (including amounts paid/received on exercise) (previously: 0.004%).

Trading and clearing fees for equity options were halved in April 1999.
