Tokyo Stock Exchange Announces Demutualization

Tokyo Stock Exchange announced that an Extraordinary Members' Meeting today approved plans for Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) to demutualise effective as of 1 November 2001.

In line with the demutualisation, the official name for the exchange will be amended to 'Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc'.
