Senjuro Takahashi was appointed as President by the Board of Directors as Katsumi Kawamura steps down mid-term. Teruo Kameda was appointed as an Executive Managing Director of the Exchange. Other directors elected, includes Isamu Miyamoto and .Kazuichi Higa. The members have also elected a new auditor, Eisaku Fujita.
Senjuro Takahashi has been an advisor of the Exchange since September 1995. Prior to joining the Exchange, Takahashi was with the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Credit Foundation as a director from 1991. He was with Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries until his appointment as director of the Economic Planning Agency of Japan in 1990.
