Tokyo Commodity Exchange: Price Limits And Extraordinary Margins On Gold And Gold Options

At the Precious Metals Market Management Committee held on December 26th, the following decisions were made on price limits and extraordinary margins on gold and gold option contracts.

1. Price Limits

Currently applied price limits (JPY75) will be effective until December 30th 2005. The price limits to be applied on and after January 4th 2006 will be notified later on.

 

2. Extraordinary Margin

Extraordinary margin will NOT be imposed on new and existing positions on and after January 4th 2006. Margin requirement etc. to be applied for January 2006 will be notified later on.
