Tokyo Commodity Exchange: Lifting Ordering Restriction On Stop And Stop Limit Orders

We apologize to our market participants for the inconvenience caused by the suspension of trading in the gasoline market due to technical difficulties on February 15 and 16.

We would also like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by the ordering restrictions imposed on Stop, Stop Limit, IOC and FOK orders, in order to prevent the recurrence of the system trouble.

We would like to inform you that we have completed the fixing and testing of the software program that caused the system trouble.

We will lift the ordering restrictions imposed based on Paragraph 1, Article 15 of Detailed Regulations Governing System Trade on Stop and Stop Limit orders from the start of order acceptance period in the morning session on March 16, and resume accepting these orders for all of our listed commodities including options contract.

As for IOC and FOK orders, ordering restrictions will continue to be imposed for the following reasons:

1. we will further investigate the negative impact in the case of canceling IOC and FOK orders during the waiting period in the order matching process, and;
2. the use of these orders is extremely low.
