On December 18, the grand gathering to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening up was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. General Secretary Xi Jinping of the CPC Central Committee, also President of the State and Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), attended the event and delivered an important speech. The speech comprehensively reviewed the glorious course of the 40 years of reform and opening up, profoundly summarized the great achievements and valuable experience thereof, and mobilized the entire Party and the people of all nationalities to continue to push forward the reform and opening up in the new era. At the meeting, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council awarded 100 people with medals of reform pioneers for their outstanding contributions to the country's reform and opening up. Yu Guogang, a practitioner of the development of the capital market and SZSE's main founder, was one of the award winners.
SZSE organized all of its staff to watch the live broadcast of the meeting and listen carefully to the important speech by General Secretary Xi. We are all encouraged and motivated and profoundly understand the great leap and milestone significance of reform and opening up. Meanwhile, we are deeply inspired by the spirit of "time and tide wait for no man" and "racing against time" of Yu Guogang and other reform pioneers.
