TMX Group, the world-leading mining exchange group, is pleased to welcome the international mining community to Toronto for the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada’s (PDAC) International Convention, Trade Show & Investors Exchange. TMX Group will participate in 15 events at the convention, which is being held from March 4 to 7, 2012.
On Sunday, March 4, TMX Group hosted a workshop on accessing the world’s largest natural resource market. Today, delegates from the Brazilian mining community will open trading on Toronto Stock Exchange. Also today, TMX Group will participate in Gowlings’ Latin America Mining Market panel discussion, as well as Heenan Blaikie’s seminar, “TSX and TSXV issuers with African properties meet Chinese investors”.
On Tuesday, March 6, representatives from PDAC will join TMX Group executives to open the market. Kevan Cowan, President, TSX Markets and Group Head of Equities will also be participating on a panel at the Mexico Mining Day Conference.
On Wednesday, March 7, the Mexican mining delegation will open trading on Toronto Stock Exchange. Events will conclude with the Mining Industry Hold’em For Life Charity Challenge, which TMX Group is sponsoring.
