TMX Group Inc. (T:X) today announced that Peter Conroy has been named President, Shorcan Brokers Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary. Mr. Conroy replaces James Magee, who becomes a Special Advisor to the organization.
"TMX Group is very grateful to Jimmy for his leadership at Shorcan," said Tom Kloet, TMX Group Chief Executive Officer. "I am pleased that he will continue to act as a senior advisor to Shorcan and continue to be a member of its Board of Directors."
Prior to accepting this role, Mr. Conroy was Director, Futures Market at the Montréal Exchange. He has also held positions in the equity trading and listings business at the Toronto Stock Exchange as well as senior roles at CBID Markets and PriceMetrix.
