TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for November 2011.
Toronto Stock Exchange listed 11 new issuers during November 2011, down from the previous month which had 20, and also down from November 2010 which had 18. Total financings raised increased 131% over October 2011 and were up 9% compared to the same month a year earlier. On a year-to-date basis, the number of new issuers listed, number of IPOs and total financings raised were all ahead of 2010 levels.
TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 23 issuers during November 2011, ahead of October 2011 which had 13, and ahead of November 2010 which had 19. Of the new issuers, 12 were from the Capital Pool Company® Program. There were 3 graduates to Toronto Stock Exchange during November 2011, which was on pace with November 2010, though was down from the previous month, which had 10. Total financings raised increased 62% from October 2011, though were down 56% compared to November 2010. Year-to-date, the number of new issuers, number of IPOs and total financings raised continued to exceed 2010 figures.
