Ian Gilhooley, President and CEO, The Canadian Depository for Securities Limited and Mark Weseluck, Chief Business Development Officer, CDS Innovations Inc., will join Tom Kloet, CEO, TMX Group, and Eric Sinclair, Senior Vice President, TMX Datalinx, to open trading on Toronto Stock Exchange on Monday, October 19, 2009.
The market opening is in celebration of CDS Innovations' agreement with TMX Datalinx to license use and distribution of CDS Innovations' securities data products.
Under the agreement, TMX Datalinx will promote and license CDS Innovations' data products on TMX contracts and manage customer relationships, while CDS Innovations will oversee the management and technical distribution of the data. Products include Canadian corporate reference data, corporate actions and regulatory filings. More information on the products can be found at www.tmx.com.
"TMX is very pleased to announce and celebrate our collaboration with CDS," said Mr. Sinclair. "The agreement expands the TMX corporate data product offering and further deepens our commitment to providing our clients with comprehensive coverage of Canada's capital markets."
"CDS Innovations looks forward to pairing the quality of CDS Innovations' information products with TMX Datalinx's marketing expertise for the benefit of Canada's capital markets," said Mr. Gilhooley. "The agreement is a natural fit for both organizations and underscores the close working relationship CDS has had with the Toronto Exchange for almost 40 years."
