Products available will include crude oil, heating oil, natural gas, gasoline, gold, silver, copper, aluminum, platinum, and palladium futures via the NYMEX ACCESS® electronic trading system. Energy products will be available from 8:00 A.M. to 10:30 P.M. on Mondays and 4:15 A.M. to 10:30 P.M. on Tuesdays through Fridays, Tokyo time. Gold, silver, copper, platinum, and palladium futures will trade from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Mondays and 3:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Tuesdays through Fridays; and aluminum futures from 8:00 A.M. to 8:40 P.M. on Mondays and 4:15 P.M. to 8:40 P.M. on Tuesdays through Fridays.
New York Mercantile Exchange Chairman Mitchell Steinhause said, "While we are delighted to be able to directly expand our product base to the Japanese financial markets, this launch is even more significant in that it marks the first results of a partnership between the world's two largest physical commodity exchanges.
