Three Petition Candidates Added To 2003 CBOT Election Ballot

Three petition candidates have been added to the ballot for the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) Annual Election, scheduled for March 12. The Annual Election ballot will include these candidates and the nominees previously announced by the exchange's Nominating Committee on February 3, as follows:

Candidates for CBOT® Chairman of the Board of Directors:Nominee to serve a two-year term: Charles P. Carey

Candidates for Full Member Directors (three-year terms):
Nominees and petition candidates for three-year terms (three to be elected, including at least one non-resident whose ordinary place of business is at least 50 miles from Chicago):
James M. Johnson, petition candidate

Frank S. Serrino, nominee
Michael D. Walter, non-resident nominee

Candidates for Full Member Directors (one-year terms) (two to be elected) :

Based on the current CBOT charter and bylaws, the exchange's 2003 Board of Directors, which will become effective immediately following the election on March 12, 2003, will include the Chairman, Vice Chairman, President and 15 Directors.

Elected board members whose terms are expiring are: Chairman Nickolas J. Neubauer, and Directors Raymond J. Cahnman, Mark E. Cermak, Robert F. Corvino, Veda Kaufman Levin, James P. McMillin, (Associate Member), and Michael D. Walter (non-resident). Nominating Committee members whose terms are expiring are: Jack R. Frymire and Bruce A. Williams.

The current Nominating Committee is comprised of Jack R. Frymire, Chairman; Michael A. Manning; Joseph Niciforo; Scott M. Swank; and Bruce A. Williams.
