Deutsche Börse has further expanded its XTF segment for international exchange-traded index funds (ETFs) on the electronic trading platform Xetra. Three new ETFs issued by Indexchange Investment AG were listed in the XTF segment on 26 September. The three new products offer institutional and retail investors exposure to three Dow Jones STOXX real estate indices for the first time. The ETFs provide investors with a low-cost and flexible way to participate in the development of the global real estate markets – through real estate equities such as Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), non-REITS and Listed Property Trusts (LPTs).
The new index funds are DJ STOXX Asia-Pacific 600 Real Estate EX (DE000A0H0777), DJ STOXX 600 Real Estate EX (DE000A0H0751) and DJ STOXX Americas 600 Real Estate EX (DE000A0H0769). The DJ STOXX Americas 600 Real Estate EX tracks American and Canadian real estate equities. The DJ STOXX 600 Real Estate EX tracks 22 European real estate equities and the DJ STOXX Asia-Pacific 600 Real Estate EX tracks real estate equities in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand and Singapore.
With the new funds, XTF now offers a total of 151 index funds, 74 of which were included in the segment since the beginning of 2006. Deutsche Börse's XTF segment accounts for approximately 50 percent of total European trading volume in exchange-traded funds and offers the most extensive range of listed ETFs of all European stock exchanges.
