StarMine, a Thomson Reuters company, today announced the winners of the 2014 StarMine Analyst Awards for the Nordics. This is the eleventh year that StarMine has presented its awards to the top stock analysts and brokerage firms across Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
StarMine, a leading provider of objective ratings of sell-side securities analysts, measures the performance of analysts based on the industry excess returns of their buy/sell recommendations and the accuracy of their earnings estimates. The 2014 awards recognise the sell-side analysts who have shown outstanding performance either as stock pickers based on the calendar year of 2013; and/or earnings estimators on the fiscal period that reported between April 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014.

Analysts are awarded prizes in three main categories: stock recommendation performance relative to specific industry benchmarks (Stock Pickers), accuracy in forecasting earnings as compared with peers (Earnings Estimators) and brokerage firms whose analysts win the most awards (Most Award-Winning Brokers).
