Some of the most senior practitioners from across the City met yesterday for TheCityUK’s inaugural Brexit Steering Group session.
The Group, co-chaired by TheCityUK’s Chairman of the Board, John McFarlane and Chairman of the Advisory Council, Paul Manduca, will oversee TheCityUK’s post-referendum work and ensure a clear industry message is communicated to policymakers – critical if we are to achieve an outcome that is in the best interests of the UK and safeguards continued economic prosperity. The group will also seek to work in collaboration with other sector trade and business groups being created to respond to the outcome of the referendum.
Given the national and cross-sectoral remit of TheCityUK to represent UK-based financial and related professional services, the group will play an important role in protecting the competitiveness of the UK as the preeminent international financial centre and the interests of clients, customers and investors.
Oliver Wyman will be providing pro-bono support to TheCityUK, focusing on data and analysis and helping to detail and refine the industry's position on policy recommendations.
