The Swedish Competition Authority can confirm that it had cause to make unannounced visits to companies in the financial sector.
These visits comprise a step in the search for evidence that may support suspicions of possible anti-competitive cooperation or abuse of dominant position.
These unannounced inspections do not mean that any position has been adopted on whether there has been an infringement of the competition rules, but rather that the inspections were conducted to ascertain whether there was any breach.
The gathered material gathered is analysed and investigation will reveal whether there has been any contravention of the law.
