“The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Stock Exchange of Thailand and the Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd. (HKEx) is a cooperative effort to exchange information between the two exchanges. Our aim is to maintain the integrity of both markets as well as to improve the operations of each exchange. Moreover, this joint effort will boost our competitive potential as well as build a key business alliance. We view this signing as a crucial undertaking at a time when world capital markets are experiencing rapid changes,” Mr. Vicharat said.
Notably, the SET and nine other exchanges have signed MoUs. These exchanges include the New York Stock Exchange (USA), the Philadelphia Stock Exchange(USA), the Pacific Stock Exchange (USA), the Australian Stock Exchange, Taiwan Stock Exchange and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
