The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Arranges International Investment Conference for GEM

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Technology Centre Corporation have jointly organised the International Investment Conference for GEM to be held on Monday, November 29, 1999. The conference will focus on GEM's business prospects, the opportunities it provides and how it will help Hong Kong to develop into a financial hub for high-growth and hi-tech companies. Mr H C Lee, Chairman of the Exchange will speak at the opening ceremony. Mr Alec Tsui, Chief Executive of the Exchange and Dr K S Lo, Chairman of GEM Listing Committee will discuss capital formation for high-growth and hi-tech companies following the debut of GEM. Dr James Liu, CEO of the Hong Kong Industrial Technology Centre Corporation will speak on the common winning factors for high-growth technology companies.
