FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index:

The Start Of InfoEngineOTC - Commodity Trade Platform In The OTC Segment

Date 15/10/2013

In accordance with earlier statements, on 15th October 2013 WSEInfoEngine S.A. opens a commodity trading platform in the OTC segment – InfoEngineOTC. First, platform participants will be able to conclude transactions on electrical energy and property rights.

Trade is conducted via an electrical trading system – GlobalVision by Trayport Ltd. – a specialized electronic platform, used among other things to enhance commodity trading in the OTC transaction formula. Thus concluded transactions are two - way contracts between trade partners, whose offers were matched by the electronic system. The InfoEngineOTC trade offer is an addition to services provided by WSE Capital Group in the scope of particular products, which are not naturally a part of trade on the exchange segment.

InfoEngineOTC will specialize in products, which are not standard exchange products, have individual settlement terms, and payment specified in standard agreements between participants (among other things energy for self-purposes for end users).
„I believe that in the near future the volume of energy on our market that flows through the Exchange as well as through the OTC sector will continue to increase. I always considered it unnatural that advanced tools for OTC trading were supplied only by foreign entities. WSE Capital Group has a natural potential to offer an interesting alternative for market participants. We do not consider electrical energy as a main product used to trade by or clients on the provided platform, it is only a small step in the right direction. The full potential of our utilities will not be fully revealed until it will be possible, with our help, to submit offers and enter into contracts on several commodity markets such as biomass and coal” – Grzegorz Onichimowski, President of the Management Board of WSEInfoEngine S.A.

First products available on the platform are electrical energy and property rights. Depending on user request we can offer, through the platform, individual profiles as well as delivery terms. Offer matching takes place directly between platform participants, who have active bilateral affiliations in the shape of so called frame agreements, which determine the terms of direct settlement of transactions between them (ex. Compliant to EFET standards). Transactions regarding property rights, which terms and prices are agreed upon through InfoEngineOTC, are to be realized on PolPX by concluding an OTC transaction.
