The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 57 new warrants issued by Commerzbank. With this incorporation the number of warrants issued by Commerzbank so far this year amounts to 1,172, it becoming the most active issuing entity for this asset class on the Spanish stock exchange.
The new issues are linked to a wide range of underlying assets, including domestic and foreign shares and indices.
As to the warrants on domestic shares, 28 were issued on Abertis, Acerinox, Banco Popular, BBVA, SCH, Gamesa, Gas Natural, Iberdrola, Iberia, Repsol, Telefónica and Unión Fenosa.
As to foreign shares, 19 warrants were issued on Allianz, BNP Paribas, DaimlerChysler, Deutsche Telekom, Enel, ENI, Exxon Mobil, France Telecom., Google and Mittal.
As regards indices, 10 warrants were issued, 9 of them on the IBEX 35® and 1 on the international DAX.
Among the issues are call and put warrants and their expiry dates are in December 2006 and March and June 2007. They are all American style, that is, they are exercised automatically on the expiry date.
