The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 44 new warrants issued by Commerzbank. The new issues are linked to a wide range of underlying assets, including domestic and foreign shares and indices.
As to the warrants on Spanish shares, 19 were admitted on BBVA, SCH, Endesa, Inditex, Indra, Repsol and Telefónica stock.
As to foreign shares, 8 warrants were issued on Alcatel, Arcelor, Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom and Nokia.
As regards indices, 4 warrants were issued on the Ibex 35, 5 on the CAC, 4 on the DAX, 1 on the Nasdaq index and 3 on the Nikkei.
Among the issues are call and put warrants and their expiry dates are in March, June and September 2006. They are all American style, that is, they are exercised automatically on the expiry date.
The incorporation of these new issues brings the total to 1,674, of which 340 were admitted to trading this year.
