The Spanish Exchange today began trading 24 new warrants issued by Banesto. With these issues, the number of new warrants traded on the market so far this year stands at a record 2,411, which exceeds all issues made last year by 33%.
The new securities are linked to domestic and foreign shares. As to the warrants issued on foreign shares, 9 issues were made on France Telecom, ING and Total Fina Elf.
Regarding domestic shares, 15 warrants are linked to Acerinox, Iberdrola, Telefónica and Unión Fenosa.
Among the warrants issued there are call and put warrants. They are American style and are exercised automatically in March and June 2008.
