The Spanish Exchange Trades 146 New Warrants Issued By Societé Genérale - Trading Volume Up To February Came In At € 254 Million, Hitting A Monthly Record High

The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 146 new warrants issued by Société Générale. The new issues are linked to international indices, and domestic and foreign shares, all of them showing a wide range of strike prices.

As to the warrants on domestic chares, 105 were issued on the following underlying assets: ACS, Altadis, BBVA, Endesa, Gas Natural, Iberdrola, Iberia, Inditex, Indra, Banco Popular, Repsol, SCH, Sogecable, Tele 5, Telefónica, Telefónica Moviles and Unión Fenosa. It is worth mentioning the incorporation of ACS and Telecinco as underlying asets for the first time.

As regards foreign shares, 37 warrant were issued on Alcatel, Cisco Systems, Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom, Google, Nokia and Pfizer.

As to international indices, it is worth mentioning the incorporation, for the first time, of 4 issues on the EPRA Eurozone Public Real State index, of which 3 are call warrants and 1 put.

Among the issues are call and put warrants with expiry dates in March 2007. All issues are American style, that is, they are automatically exercised on the expiry date.

With the incorporation of these new issues, the number of warrants listed on the exchange amounts to 1,807, of which 486 have been admitted to trading so far this year.
