The Spanish Exchange Trades 141 New Warrants Issued By Commerzbank

The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 141 new warrants issued by Commerzbank. The new issues are linked to domestic and foreign shares and indices with a wide range of strike prices and expiry dates.

Concerning the warrants on domestic shares, 75 were issued on the following underlying assets: Altadis, BBVA, Santander, Endesa, Repsol and Telefónica, with expiry dates in June, September and December 2005.

The number of warrants issued on foreign shares are 19, namely: Alcatel, France Telecom, with expiry dates in September 2005 and Nokia, with expiry dates in July, September and December 2005.

As to the warrants on indices, 17 were issued on the Ibex 35, 14 on the Dow Jones Eurostoxx50 and 16 on the Dax, with expiry dates in June, September and December 2005.

Among the issues are call and put warrants, all of which work in the same way as American warrants.

The number of warrants issued since the start of the year is 734 and the volume of listed warrants is 1,516.
