With these issues, the number of warrants traded on the Spanish market stands now at 3,923, hitting a new record.
The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 133 new warrants issued by BBVA Banco de Financiación. The new issues are linked to a wide range of underlying assets, including domestic and foreign shares and indices and exchange rates.
As to the warrants on Spanish shares, 59 were issued on the following underlying assets: Acerinox, Altadis, BBVA, Gas Natural, Iberdrola, Inditex, Indra, Repsol, SCH, Telefónica, Unión Fenosa and Zeltia.
44 warrants were issued on the following foreign shares: Alcatel-Lucent, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, France Telecom, Nokia, Philips, Sanofi-Aventis and Total-Fina.
Regarding indices, 5 warrants were admitted to trading on the IBEX 35®. Another 5 warrants were issued on the international Dow Jones Eurostoxx 50.
As to warrants on exchange rates, 20 were issued, of which 5 were linked to the Euro / Yen, 10 on the Euro / Dollar and 5 on the Dollar / Mexican Peso.
Among the issues are call and put warrants, with expiry date in June and September 2007. They are all American style, that is they are exercised on the expiry date.
