The Spanish Exchange Trades 129 New Warrants Issued By Société Générale - With These Issues, The Number Of New Warrants Traded On The Market Now Stands At 982

The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 129 new warrants issued by Societé Générale. The new issues are linked to a wide range of underlying assets, including domestic and foreign shares and indices as well as exchange rates and commodities.

As to the warrants on commodities, 6 issues were made on the Silver ounce, it being the first time that warrants are admitted to trading linked to this underlying asset. In this issue 4 warrants are call warrants and 2 put.

The Spanish shares that will act as the underlying assets for 74 warrants are as follows: ACS, Banco Popular, BBVA, Endesa, Gas Natural, Iberdrola, Inditex, Repsol, SCH, Telefónica and Unión Fenosa.

The foreign shares that will act as the underlying assets for 15 warrants are as follows: Arcelor, Cisco Systems, IBM, Nokia, Pfizer and Yahoo. It is worth mentioning the incorporation of IBM as a new underlying asset. As for the warrants on indices, 20 were issued on the IBEX 35®, 2 on the international DAX Xetra and 1 on the EPRA Eurozone Public Real State. As regards exchange rates, 11 issues were made on the Euro / Dollar exchange rate, of which 6 are call warrants and 5 put.

Among the issues are call and put warrants. They are American style, that is, they can be exercised at any time with the exception of the Silver ounce underlying asset, which is European type and is exercised on its expiry date. The incorporation of these issues brings the total number of warrants traded on the market to 1,737.
