The Spanish Exchange Trades 113 New Warrants Issued By Societé Genérale - New Issues On The Spanish Stock Market So Far This Year Stand At 1,098

The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 113 new warrants issued by Société Générale. The new issues bring the total figure so far this year to 1,098. The new issues are linked to domestic and foreign shares, international indices, commodities and baskets of shares.

As to the warrants on domestic shares, 46 were issued on the following underlying assets: ACS, Altadis, BBVA, Endesa, Gas Natural, Iberdrola, Inditex, Banco Popular, Repsol, SCH and Telefónica Moviles As regards foreign shares, 47 warrant were issued on Adidas, Alcatel, Arcelor, Cisco Systems, Daimlerchrysler, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom, Google, Nokia, Pfizer, Société Générale and Solarworld, a solar energy German company that is now incorporated into the market as underlying asset for the first time.

As to international indices, 3 issues were made on the Dow Jones Eurostoxx 50 Index, 3 on the Dow Jones Industrial Average, 4 on the Nikkei, 3 on the Nasdaq Index and 3 on the Xetra Dax.

Regarding commodities, 1 call warrant was admitted to trading on the Gold Ounce and another call warrant on the Brent future contract.

With regards to baskets of shares, 2 call warrants were admitted to trading for the first time on the Football 2006 Basket, which comprises Adidas Salomón, Puma, Groupe Danone, Nestlé, Continental, Heineken, Accor, Beiersdorf and PPR. These stocks correspond to sporting clothes companies, sponsors of the German Football World Cup and companies directly related to this sporting event.

All issues are American style, that is, they can be exercised any time, except those made on the Brent, Gold and Football 2006 Basket underlying assets, which are European style, that is, they are exercisable on the expiry date.
