The Spanish Exchange Trades 109 New Warrants Issued By Societé Genérale - With These Issues, The Number Of Warrants Traded On The Market Stands Now At 1,640

The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 109 new warrants issued by Société Générale. The new issues are linked to a wide range of underlying assets, including equity indices, commodities and shares, all of them showing a wide range of strike prices.

As to the warrants on commodities, 11 were issued on the Brent oil future, with expiry date on 8 February 2007 and different strike prices as well as 7 warrants on the Troy Gold ounze, of which 4 are call warrants and 3 put, with expiry dates in December 2006 and 2007.

Regarding domestic indices, 47 warrants were admitted to trading on the Ibex 35 and 2 on the FTSE Latibex Top. As to international indices, 7 issues were made on the Dow Industrial Average, 8 on the Dow Jones Eurostoxx50, 6 on the Nasdaq 100, 12 on the Nikkei 225 and 6 on the Xetra Dax.

As regards shares, 1 warrant was issued on Union Fenosa’s shares and 2 on Apple and Arcelor.

Among the issues are call and put warrants. They are all American style, that is, they can be exercised at any time except those linked to the Brent and Troy Gold ounze, which are European style, that is, they are exercised on the expiry date.
