The Spanish Deputy Prime Minister And Economic Minister To Close The 6th Latibex Forum - The Opening Act, To Be Held On November 17, Will Be Presided Over By Manuel Conthe, CNMV Chairman.

On November 19 Spanish Deputy Prime Minister and Economic Minister, Mr. Pedro Solbes, will close the 6th Latibex Forum, which will be hosted by Bolsa de Madrid and Latibex from 17th to 19th November. On its sixth meeting, more than 500 important figures from the national and international finance sector will be attending the Forum.

The opening act will be presided over by Manuel Conthe, CNMV Chairman. Also attending will be Francisco González, Chairman of BBVA, Silas Rondeau Cavalcante, Chairman of Eletrobras, Manuel Pizarro, Chairman of Endesa, Iñigo de Oriol, Chairman of Iberdrola, Emilio Botín, Chairman of Grupo Santander and representatives from over 600 Latin American companies, investment banks and analysts.

This meeting provides a unique opportunity to receive a full picture of the Latin American economic and corporate situation. During the Forum, there will be sectorial panels, where members will present their results and strategies of their companies; politicians from both sides of the Atlantic will also contribute their views In this respect, among the members of these panels will be the Chairman of Telefónica Móviles, Antonio Viana-Baptista or the Colombian Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alberto Carrasquilla.

The importance of the corporations and political and economical institutions attending the meeting make the event the main encounter of this type held in Europe.

Private meetings between companies and investors will be held in paralel with the Forum in order for investors to receive further information about the companies attending and for the latter to see the financing potential of the European market. Latibex, as a bridge between the European stock markets and Latin America, is the third biggest market for Latin American stocks in terms of market capitalisation. The market highlights its commitment to facilitating trading in Latin American stocks in an agile, efficient and transparent fashion and in euros.
