The Saudi Stock Exchange Performance Report – January 2018

At the end of January 2018 Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed at 7,650.12 points, increased by 423.8  points 5.86% over the close of  the  previous  month. 

Highest close level for the index during the month was   7,650.12  point  on  31/01/2018.

Total equity market capitalization at the end of January 2018 reached SAR 1,791.89  billion (US$  477.84 billion), increasing  by 6.05%  over  the close of  the  previous  month.

The total value of shares traded for the   month of January 2018 reached SAR 81.97 billion (US$ 21.86 billion), decreasing by 6.23% over the previous month.

The total number of shares traded* reached 4.43 billion shares during the month of January 2018 compared to 4.93 billion shares traded for the previous month, a decrease of   10.22%.

The total number of transactions executed during January 2018 reached 2.19 million compared to 2.35 million trades for the month of   December  2017,  a decrease of  7.03%.

 Number of  trading days during  January  2018  were  23  against 21  trading days  during  December 2017.
