The Saudi Stock Exchange Performance Report – January 2017

At the end of January 2017 Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed at 7,101.86 points, decreased by 108.57 points 1.51% over the close of  the  previous  month. 
Highest close level for the index during the month was 7,250.76 point on 03/01/2017.

Total equity market capitalization at the end of January 2017 reached SAR 1,658.62  billion (US$ 442.30 billion), decreasing  by  1.39%  over  the close of  the  previous  month.

The total value of shares traded for the   month of January 2017 reached SAR 103.24 billion (US$ 27.53 billion), decreasing by 10.20% over the previous month.

The total number of shares traded* reached 5.71 billion shares during the month of January 2017 compared to 6.95 billion shares traded for the previous month, a decrease of  17.89%.

The total number of transactions executed during January 2017 reached 2.78 million compared to 2.68 million trades for the month of  December  2016,  an increase of  3.74%.
