Total equity market capitalization at the end of the 1st Half 2017 reached SAR 1,763.99 billion (US$ 470.40 billion), increasing by 17.26% over the close of the same period of the previous year.
The total value of shares traded during the 1st Half 2017 reached SAR 436.19 billion (US$ 116.32 billion), decreasing by 36.62% over the same period of the previous year.
The total number of shares traded* reached 23.57 billion shares during the 1st Half 2017 compared to 36.72 billion shares traded during the 1st Half 2016, a decrease of 35.82%.
The total number of transactions executed during the 1st Half 2017 reached 11.13 million compared to 16.04 million trades during the 1st Half 2016, a decrease of 30.60%.
