The Saudi Stock Exchange Announces The Publication Of The Weekly Stock Market Ownership And Trading Activity Report (By Nationality And Investor Type)

The  total value of shares traded for the week  ending 6 April 2017 amounted to SAR 15.14 billion, increasing by 5.70% over the previous week; while total stock market capitalization reached SAR 1,663.51 billion at the end of this period, increasing by 1.55% over the previous week.

    The total value of shares purchased by “Saudi Investors” during this period amounted to SAR 14.26 billion representing 94.21% of total buying activity, and sales of SAR  14.53 billion representing 95.94% of total selling activity. Total ownership of “Saudi Investors” stood at 93.49% of total market capitalization as of 6 April 2017, representing an increase of 0.05% from the previous week. 
    The total value of shares purchased by “GCC Investors” during this period amounted to SAR 0.359 billion representing 2.37% of total buying activity, and sales of SAR 0.135 billion representing 0.89% of total selling activity. Total ownership of “GCC Investors” stood at 2.38% of total market capitalization as of 6 April 2017, representing a decrease of 0.002% from the previous week. 
    The total value of shares purchased by “Foreign Investors” during this period amounted to SAR 0.517  billion representing 3.41% of total buying activity, and sales of SAR 0.479 billion representing 3.16% of total selling activity. Total ownership of “Foreign Investors” stood at 4.13% of total market capitalization as of 6 April 2017, representing a decrease of 0.05% from the previous week.
