The RTS Stock Exchange To Calculate New Technical Indices

As of august 9th 2004 the RTS Stock Exchange starts to calculate new technical indices in accordance with the securities market regulations.

Indices, calculated separately for mutual fund units, stocks, and bonds, will replace the Composite stock index (RTSC) for certain cases of trading suspension on the exchange. As of August 9th, 2004, the Composite Index will be terminated.

Codes of the technical indices:

• Technical Stock Index (code – TIS)
• Technical Bond Index (code – TIB)
• Technical Mutual Fund Unit Index (code – TIU).

Indices will be calculated using transactions executed anonymously on the market.
