The Philadelphia Stock Exchange Elects John F. Wallace And Daniel Bigelow To Its Board Of Governors

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today the election of John F. Wallace and Daniel Bigelow to its Board of Governors. The unofficial results of yesterday's election are as follows: John Wallace received 320 votes (83%). The other candidate, Nicholas G. DiCicco, received 68 votes. Daniel Bigelow received 293 votes (76%) and the other candidate, Stephen Cheseldine, received 94 votes.

John F. Wallace was elected On-Floor Options Floor Broker Governor for a term of three years. He is President of Wallace Securities Corp., has been associated with the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) since 1966 and has been a member since 1971.

He has been a Governor serving on the PHLX Board since 1984, as well as on the Boards of other affiliated entities of the Exchange. In this capacity, he has served in many leadership roles, including as Chairman from 1996-1997 and as Vice Chairman from 1997 to the present. He has also served at various times on the Board of the Stock Clearing Corporation of Philadelphia.

During his tenure at the PHLX, Mr. Wallace has traded on all floors of the Exchange in the capacity of a specialist on the options and equity floors, as a floor broker for equities, options and currencies, and as a Registered Options Trader. In addition to his current service as Chairman of the Options Committee and member of the Executive Committee, Mr. Wallace has at one time or another served on and/or led virtually every Exchange Committee including service on the following committees: Allocation, Evaluation and Securities; Elections; Finance; Marketing; Admissions; Arbitration; Nominating; New Product Development and Long Range Strategic Planning Committee.

Over the course of his career in the securities industry, Mr. Wallace has been a member of the Toronto Stock Exchange, as well as registered with the National Futures Association as a floor broker. In addition to his role as President of Wallace Securities, he also serves as Chairman of Philadelphia Alternative Asset Management Company, LLC, a Philadelphia based hedge fund.

Mr. Wallace is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College. He has served for 27 years in the United States Army, the Army Reserve and the National Guard, currently holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Daniel Bigelow was elected On-Floor Options Trader (Specialist) Governor for a term of three years. He is a managing partner of Monadnock Capital Management L.P. Mr. Bigelow has been a member and registered options trader at the Exchange since 1993 having previously clerked on the Exchange options floor in 1991. Mr. Bigelow was an officer of Binary Traders, Inc. Mr. Bigelow has served on the Options Committee since 1999 and has served on its Space Allocation Sub-Committee and Electronic Trading Sub-Committee. In 1980-90, Mr. Bigelow was on active duty in the United States Marine Corps as a Naval Aviator flying ACE Intruder aircraft. He served in the Marine Corps Ready Reserves from 1990-1997, last serving as a Major.
