The Philadelphia Stock Exchange Celebrates Veteran's Day With A Special Bell-Ringing Ceremony

PHLX employee Bill Mann, who recently served his country as a member of the Army Reserves, rang the opening bell today. Lauren Hart, the voice of the Philadelphia Flyers, was on hand to sing "God Bless America."

Mann, 26, spent six months in Kuwait when his unit, the 424th Medical Logistics Battalion, was activated in January 2003. The unit was responsible for transporting medical supplies to all U.S. and allied troops along the borders of Kuwait.

A resident of Collingswood, N.J., he currently is a part-time MBA student at Drexel University. Mann joined the Army reserves while in college. He joined the Exchange after college graduation in August 2000.
