Equity options volume rose 19.54% when 11,916,067 contracts traded compared to the previous month when 9,968,300 contracts traded. Equity option volume rose 19.42% compared to the same year- ago period.
Equity volume for November increased 6.14% when 272,422,190 shares traded compared to the previous month when 256,672,374 shares traded. Equity volume rose 18.40% compared to the same year-ago period.
Sectors index options volume rose 21.52% when 449,650 contracts traded compared to the previous month when 370,032 contracts traded. Trading volume increased 61.83% compared to the same year-ago period when 277,847 contracts traded. Year-to date trading in sectors index options increased 72.68%.
Trading volume in the customized and standardized currency options for November totaled 24,217 contracts, an increase of 66.99 % compared to the previous month when 14,502 contracts traded.
