The Philadelphia Stock Exchange Announces June Volume - “ Equity Option Volume Increases”

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today that equity option volume for June reached 11,160,829 contracts, up 10.83% from the previous month when 10,070,405 contracts traded. Equity option volume for June increased 26.57% compared to the same year-ago period when 8,818,138 contracts traded.

Equity volume for June declined 19.66% when 108,257,009 shares traded compared to the previous month when 134,746,323 shares traded. Equity volume in June declined 43.63% when compared to the same year-ago period when 192,061,659 traded.

Volume in sectors index options in June increased 39.18% when 546,071 contracts traded compared 392,342 contracts traded in the previous month. Sectors index options volume in June increased 39.64% compared to the same year-ago period when 391,052 contracts traded.

Trading volume in the customized and standardized currency options for June totaled 12,797 Volume decreased 11.69% compared to the same year-ago period when 14,491 contracts traded.
