Volume in equity options increased 60.07% when 11,692,026 contracts traded as compared to the same year-ago period when 7,304,161 contracts traded. Volume was down 14.04% compared to last month when 13,601,077 contracts traded.
Equity volume for April was down 6.01% when 267,516,091 shares traded compared to 284,620,449 shares that traded during the same month last year. Equity volume declined 11.40% compared to the previous month when 301,516,091 contracts traded.
Trading volume in the customized and standardized currency options for April totaled 18,544, an increase of 1.32% compared to the same month last year when 18,303 contracts traded.
